All Nigerians Equal, Says Delta Deputy Governor
The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, has emphasized the unity of Nigeria, declaring that all citizens are equal regardless of their ethnic, regional, or religious backgrounds.
Speaking during a public engagement, Onyeme dismissed claims suggesting that any particular region or ethnic group is superior to others, stressing that every Nigerian deserves equal respect, opportunities, and treatment under the law.
He called on citizens to promote national unity and peaceful coexistence, noting that the country’s progress depends on collective efforts rather than divisive narratives. According to him, Nigeria’s diversity should be viewed as a strength that fosters growth and development.
The Deputy Governor also urged Nigerians to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that national cooperation is essential for addressing the country’s economic and social challenges.
Onyeme reiterated the need for leaders and citizens alike to prioritize patriotism, tolerance, and mutual understanding, adding that a united Nigeria remains the best path toward sustainable development and prosperity for all.
His remarks come amid ongoing national conversations on regional interests, governance, and the need for greater unity across the country.
