It was earlier reported that , Tinubu was named the ruling party’s flag-bearer for the 2023 general elections on Wednesday.

Tinubu’s triumph at the APC national conference has prompted many political stakeholders and supporters to express their gratitude, with more on the way.
However, Aisha Yesufu, a noted critic of the existing government, labeled Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a betrayer of the people in response to the results of the party’s presidential polls held at Eagles Square.
Yesufu claims that Osinbajo did not betray Tinubu in the sense that many have believed. She, on the other hand, claimed that the Vice President had violated the confidence of many Nigerians who had supported the APC in 2015 because of him (Osinbajo).
She emphasized that Osinbajo, whom many people, particularly in the South West, regard as a traitor for opting for the presidential nomination and competing against his former boss, failed because he abandoned the people.
Yesufu claimed that in 2015, Osinbajo’s visage appeared on campaign posters.
“Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo abandoned the people, not Tinubu,” she wrote on Twitter. Because of Osinbajo, many people supported the APC ticket in 2015.
“He walked in and turned away from the folks. He chose the side of oppression and repression!”
