AFCON 2023: Peseiro Reacts As Super Eagles Beat Cameroon To Set Up Angola Clash

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has warned his players to stay humble and focus on their next 2023 Africa Cup of Nations game against Angola.

Peseiro was speaking after they beat Cameroon 2-0 to qualify for the quarter-final.

They will now face Angola, who continued their impressive showing at at the AFCON 2023 finals with a comprehensive 3-0 victory Namibia on Saturday.

Peseiro warned his players of the threat posed by the Palancas Negras and further stated that it is important for them to take the opponent seriously.

“We will now focus on our next match against Angola, which is having an excellent tournament,”the Portuguese told the media at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.

“We must take this opponent seriously, so we will continue to sleep early and eat pasta (laughs). Jokes aside, all the teams at this stage are capable of winning the tournament.”
