MAN UNITED EYE BASSEY FOR JANUARY MOVE

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Super Eagles and Fulham defender Calvin Bassey as a potential January signing as they look to strengthen their central defence.

The Nigerian international has attracted attention following his performances for Fulham, where his defensive strength, physical presence and ability to play out from the back have made him an important figure.

United are understood to be assessing defensive options ahead of the January transfer window, with Bassey emerging as one of the players being monitored.

The 26-year-old has experience in both the Premier League and European football, having previously played for Ajax and Rangers before joining Fulham.

However, there is no confirmed agreement between Manchester United and Fulham, and any potential move would depend on the clubs’ transfer negotiations and the player’s situation at Craven Cottage.

Bassey’s possible arrival would offer United another option in central defence as the club considers ways to strengthen its squad for the second half of the season.
