ENUGU JOURNALISTS EXPECT MBAH, UMAHI, OLUKOYEDE AT 2026 PRESS WEEK
Journalists in Enugu State are expecting Governor Peter Mbah, Minister of Works David Umahi and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman Ola Olukoyede at the 2026 Press Week organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Enugu Chapel.
The event is expected to bring together media professionals and public officials to discuss issues affecting journalism, governance and national development.
Mbah is expected to represent the Enugu State Government, while Umahi’s anticipated attendance would bring attention to infrastructure development and federal road projects. Olukoyede’s participation would also provide an opportunity to engage with issues relating to financial accountability and the fight against corruption.
The annual Press Week provides an opportunity for journalists to reflect on their professional responsibilities, exchange ideas and strengthen engagement with government institutions and other stakeholders.
The expected attendance of the three public officials adds prominence to this year’s programme, although their participation remains subject to confirmation by the organisers.
Further details about the event’s theme, programme and schedule were not included in the information provided.
