WALKING NOW DIFFICULT FOR ME, SAYS PETE EDOCHIE
Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has opened up about his health challenges, revealing that he is currently struggling to walk and experiencing swelling in different parts of his body.
The 79-year-old actor disclosed his condition during a visit to ailing Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra, Ghana, where he also offered prayers and financial support for his colleague.
Speaking during the visit, Edochie said he was not in good health but remained hopeful of recovering.
“Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover myself,” he said.
The veteran actor explained that parts of his body, including his hands and legs, sometimes become swollen before the swelling subsides after some time.
He also made an emotional remark about his fear of becoming a burden to those around him, saying he regularly prayed to God to take him when his time came rather than leave him dependent on others.
Edochie’s disclosure came during his visit to Armah, who has reportedly been battling serious health complications for several years. The Nigerian actor used the opportunity to offer support and encouragement to his Ghanaian colleague.
The revelation has drawn concern among fans and admirers, with many expressing hopes for his recovery and wishing him strength during his health challenges.
