LAGOS TIGHTENS SECURITY AHEAD OF FESTIVITIES

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has met with security chiefs as the state moves to strengthen security ahead of the festive season and expected increase in social and commercial activities.
The meeting focused on measures to maintain law and order across the state as residents prepare for increased movement, celebrations and gatherings during the period.
Sanwo-Olu stressed the need for security agencies to remain proactive and coordinate their operations to prevent crime and respond quickly to any security threats.
The state is also expected to pay closer attention to major roads, transport corridors, markets, recreational centres and other locations likely to experience increased human and vehicular traffic.
Security personnel have been urged to remain professional and ensure the safety of residents, visitors and businesses throughout the festive period.
The government said the enhanced security measures are aimed at ensuring that Lagos residents can celebrate peacefully while maintaining public safety across the state.
