Edun Fires Up Boxers for LBHF-IBILE Championship Bouts
President of the Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF), Wale Edun, has urged young boxers participating in the Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame (LBHF)-IBILE Divisional Championships to give their best performances as they compete for a place in the prestigious Governor’s Belt competition.
Speaking ahead of the championship, Edun described the tournament as an important platform for discovering and nurturing the next generation of Nigerian boxing stars. He encouraged the athletes to demonstrate discipline, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
The LBHF-IBILE Divisional Championships will feature talented boxers from across Lagos’ five divisions, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their skills and earn qualification for the Governor’s Belt tournament.
Edun noted that grassroots competitions remain vital to the growth of boxing in Nigeria, stressing that consistent investment in youth development would help produce athletes capable of excelling at national and international levels.
