GIVE EVERY WOMAN $1 FOR FAMILY PLANNING, EX-ARFH PRESIDENT URGES FG
Former President of the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH), Prof. Oladapo Ladipo, has urged the Federal Government to increase funding for family planning services to $50 million annually.
Ladipo said the increased investment would help improve access to contraceptives and ensure that more women across Nigeria can access reliable family planning services.
He stressed the need for stronger government commitment to family planning, noting that adequate funding is essential to maintaining the availability of contraceptives and expanding reproductive health services.
According to him, providing greater access to family planning would enable women and couples to make informed decisions about the timing and number of children they have.
He therefore called on the government to prioritise family planning in its healthcare funding and policies, describing it as an important part of improving maternal and reproductive health outcomes in the country.
