Dagogo Rejects Suspension from APC, Cites Constitutional Breach

Port Harcourt, Nigeria — A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Fubara Dagogo, has rejected his reported suspension from the party, describing the action as unconstitutional.

Dagogo stated that the decision to suspend him did not follow due process as outlined in the party’s constitution. He argued that no valid disciplinary procedure was carried out before the announcement, insisting that the move lacks legitimacy.

The APC chieftain maintained that he remains a loyal member of the party and called on its leadership to uphold internal democracy and adhere strictly to established rules.

His reaction comes amid ongoing political tensions within the party in Rivers State, with factions reportedly at odds over leadership and control.

Dagogo further hinted at possible steps to challenge the suspension, emphasizing the need for fairness and respect for party guidelines.

The development adds to growing concerns about internal disputes within the APC at the state level, as stakeholders continue to call for unity ahead of future political engagements.
