Eid-el-Fitr: Bayero Urges Governments to Prioritise Protection of Lives, Property
The deposed Emir of Kano Emirate, Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on governments at all levels to prioritise the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
In his message to mark the celebration of Eid‑el‑Fitr, Bayero urged authorities to intensify efforts in safeguarding the lives, health and property of Nigerians, noting that security remains a critical responsibility of leadership.
He also called on citizens to uphold the lessons of patience, sacrifice and compassion learned during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing the importance of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among communities.
Bayero further encouraged Muslims to continue promoting unity, kindness and support for the less privileged even after the Ramadan period.
He prayed for lasting peace, stability and development in Nigeria, urging leaders and citizens alike to work together for the progress of the nation.
