Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Deploys 3,400 Personnel for Eid al-Fitr Security in Kano
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has mobilised more than 3,400 personnel to ensure adequate security during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations across the state.
The Kano State Command said the large-scale deployment is aimed at safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the festivities, as residents gather to mark the end of the Muslim fasting period.
According to the command, officers have been strategically positioned at key locations, including Eid prayer grounds, markets, motor parks, recreational centres, and other public places across Kano.
The NSCDC noted that the operation is part of a broader security arrangement involving collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order during the celebration period.
Residents were also urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel by reporting any suspicious movements or activities to the authorities.
The command assured members of the public that adequate measures have been put in place to prevent criminal activities and ensure that the Eid festivities are celebrated peacefully throughout the state. 🕌🚓
