ADC, Obidients Criticise Rising Fuel Prices, Warn Government
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as Obidients, have criticised the Federal Government over the continued rise in fuel prices across Nigeria.
The groups expressed concern that leaving petrol pricing entirely to market forces has worsened economic hardship for many Nigerians already struggling with high living costs.
According to them, the steady increase in fuel prices has triggered higher transportation fares and rising costs of goods and services, placing additional pressure on households and small businesses.
They urged the government to urgently introduce measures to stabilise fuel prices and cushion the impact on citizens, warning that failure to act could further deepen the economic challenges facing the country.
The groups also called for greater transparency and accountability in the management of Nigeria’s petroleum sector to ensure that reforms benefit the wider population.
