APC Convention Will Shock Opposition, Says Basiru

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, has dismissed claims that the party may face internal crisis ahead of its national convention, insisting that the gathering will strengthen unity within the ruling party.

Basiru said contrary to predictions by opposition parties, the convention would not lead to division but would instead demonstrate the APC’s cohesion and organisational strength.

He maintained that the party remains focused on consolidating its structures and preparing for future political contests, stressing that critics hoping for an implosion would be disappointed.

According to him, the outcome of the convention will “shock” opposition parties who have predicted internal disagreements within the APC.

Basiru also urged party members to remain committed to the party’s ideals and work collectively to ensure a successful convention and stronger political platform.
