UK Announces Road Closures, No-Fly Zones for Tinubu’s State Visit

The United Kingdom has announced a series of security measures, including road closures and temporary no-fly zones, ahead of the state visit of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu.

Authorities said the restrictions will be implemented in parts of Windsor and surrounding areas as part of heightened security arrangements for the high-profile visit. Armed police officers and additional security personnel are expected to be deployed throughout the area to ensure public safety.

According to officials, several roads will be temporarily closed to traffic during the president’s movements, while a restricted airspace zone will also be enforced to prevent unauthorized aircraft and drones from flying near key locations.

The measures are part of standard security protocols typically applied during state visits by foreign leaders to the United Kingdom.

President Tinubu’s visit is expected to include diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and the UK, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, and security cooperation.
