Truck Somersaults On Otedola Bridge, Causes Traffic Gridlock

A Mack truck on Wednesday somersaulted on Otedola Bridge in Lagos following a reported mechanical failure, causing a massive traffic gridlock in the area.

The incident disrupted the movement of vehicles along the busy route, leaving many motorists stranded for several hours as traffic built up around the scene.

Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) quickly responded to the situation, coordinating efforts to manage traffic and clear the obstruction.

According to traffic authorities, the truck overturned after developing a mechanical fault while in motion, leading to the accident.

Emergency responders and traffic officials worked together to remove the truck from the road and restore the flow of vehicles.

LASTMA later confirmed that the scene had been successfully cleared, allowing traffic movement on the bridge to gradually return to normal.
