2 min read

TikTok has launched a revamped subscription monetization feature for creators, allowing them to offer exclusive content to paying subscribers.

The feature, which is available to eligible creators in select regions, including Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, the U.K., Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and the U.S., is designed to help creators monetize their content and build a more loyal fan base.

“We’re excited to bring this new feature to our creators,” said a TikTok spokesperson. “We believe that it will help them to build a more sustainable career on the platform and to connect with their fans in a more meaningful way.”

The subscription feature allows creators to offer three different tiers of exclusive content, each with distinct perks available for a monthly fee.

Subscribers will enjoy benefits such as unique stickers for use during live sessions, badges displayed next to their names in comments and profiles, and access to exclusive communication channels like Sub Space, a dedicated area for creators to interact with their subscribers.

To qualify for the subscription feature, creators must be at least 18 years old, have a minimum of 10,000 followers, and achieve 100,000 video views within the past month, with their accounts in good standing.

“This is a great opportunity for creators to monetize their content and build a more loyal fan base,” said a creator who has been using the feature. “I’m excited to see how it will help me to grow my audience and to connect with my fans in a more meaningful way.”

The launch of the subscription feature is part of TikTok’s efforts to expand its monetization options for creators and to help them to build a more sustainable career on the platform. The feature is available now to eligible creators in select regions, with plans to expand to additional markets in the coming weeks.
