Wizkid Missing As Burna Boy Tops 2019 Most Watched YouTube Music Videos
2 min readPopular streaming platform, YouTube has released its YouTube Rewind list. The list celebrates the biggest moments on YouTube from 2019.
The list came in two parts, the top trending videos in Nigeria for 2019 as well as the top trending music videos for the year.
Music rave of the moment, Burna Boy led the pack with his Zlatan Ibile assisted song, “Killin Dem” from his album, “African Giant”.
Davido’s hit song, “Blow My Mind” that has help from international singer, Chris Brown came in at second place while Rudeboy of the defunct music duo, PSquare closed the top three with the video for “Reason With Me”.
Other artistes who made the list include breakout stars, Rema and Fireboy DML who placed 10th and 12th respectively.
Rudeboy and Teni the Entertainer are the only singers on the list to have more than one video as they both had two music videos making the cut.
Teni is also the only female lead singer on the list as Simi’s appearance on the list is thanks to a feature with her husband, Adekunle Gold on the song, “Promise”.
Surprisingly, one of Nigeria’s biggest music stars, Wizkid failed to make the list as a lead singer with his only claim to the list being his feature on Larry Gaaga’s “Low” that ranks 13th.
