Wike Promises Major Infrastructure Transformation For Abuja By 2027
1 min readThe Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has asserted that Abuja will see significant changes by the end of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s tenure in 2027.
During the inauguration of a road upgrading project in Ushafa, Bwari Area Council, Wike emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the infrastructure deficits in the capital.
Wike stated, “As far as infrastructure is concerned, by the time this administration finishes in 2027, Abuja will be a different thing altogether.”

He assured that all Area Councils would benefit from enhanced infrastructure under the Renewed Hope Agenda, affirming that promises made by the government would be fulfilled.
The FCT Minister encouraged citizens to hold the government accountable for tax expenditures, stating, “When you pay your tax, you have the right to ask questions.” He also reiterated plans to combat street begging in Abuja through a new security initiative.
