We are expecting more defectors, they will enjoy equal rights in APC – Party chairman

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yiltwatda, has assured that all defectors joining the party will be treated equally and enjoy the same rights as existing members.
Yiltwatda made this known on Friday during an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting of the party held at the Crest Hotel in Jos, Plateau State.
The meeting was attended by top party stalwarts and political leaders across the state.
The APC chairman said several prominent members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are expected to join the ruling party next week, adding that all arrangements for their defection have been concluded.
“I can categorically tell you that by next week, I will be receiving some notable figures from the ADC. It is not just PDP members joining our party, many from ADC have indicated interest, and some have already completed their screening,” he stated.
According to him, the incoming members include serving and former governors, as well as National Assembly members.
Professor Yiltwatda further assured that every new member would be treated as an equal partner in the party’s progress.
“Those defecting to the APC will enjoy the same rights and privileges as those who have been with us from the beginning. We believe in fairness and equal treatment for all members,” he said.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his inclusive leadership style, describing him as a friend of the minority who has given Plateau State recognition and a stronger voice in national politics.
