VIDEO: Shettima Returns After International Economic Mission in Davos, Guinea
Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has returned to the country following an international economic mission that took him to Davos, Switzerland, and the Republic of Guinea, where he represented Nigeria at high-level global and regional engagements.
The Vice President participated in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, holding strategic meetings with global business leaders, development partners, and policymakers aimed at attracting investment and strengthening Nigeria’s economic outlook. Discussions at the forum focused on economic reforms, private sector participation, energy transition, and Africa’s role in the evolving global economy.
From Davos, Shettima proceeded to Guinea, where he engaged regional leaders on issues bordering on economic cooperation, political stability, and sub-regional development. His visit underscored Nigeria’s commitment to West African integration, peace, and shared economic growth.
Speaking on the outcomes of the trip, the Vice President reaffirmed the Federal Government’s determination to reposition Nigeria as a key destination for investment and a leading voice in regional and global economic conversations.
A video of Shettima’s arrival shows senior government officials receiving him, marking the conclusion of what aides described as a “productive and strategic” international mission aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s economic diplomacy agenda.
The trip highlights Nigeria’s renewed push to strengthen its global economic relevance while maintaining leadership within the West African sub-region.
