UNLEASHING THE GIANT IN YOU
4 min readIn every person there is a giant. Discovering that Giant becomes that person’s responsibility.
Man is a spirit, he has a soul and dwell in a body. The real you is inside. Life begins within. You have to understand that. It is your responsibility to awaken the giant in you. How can you unleash what you have not discovered or have no knowledge about? Meaning you have to discover the giant before you can unleash it.
Many do ask, do I really have a giant inside? Well, Emphatically yes, in fact living on earth without discovering real you is like living an empty life. Bishop David Oyedepo once said, ” A man without a purpose or goal will end up like a goat” .
A waste less life is a life without purpose. If you don’t have a purpose for living you will end up living your life unfulfilled.
HOW CAN I DISCOVER THE GIANT IN ME (SELF DISCOVERY)
These five (5) basics steps will help you discover yourself.
1. IDENTIFY WHAT YOU LOVE:
Man is his most pure self in a state of love. Take time to brood over and over again, think over your life right from your childhood till date. What’s that thing that you can do best? what’s that thing you always love to do? Discover that giant. There is something you can do best Even when you are awoken up in the middle of night to do it You will do it excellently well. That’s the giant in you.
Now that you’ve discovered it let’s move to the next step and if you haven’t take time to. Remember ” Until you discover the real YOU, you will never know that there is no other YOU in the world, and that is why YOU are Unique”. The greatest day of a man’s life is the day he discovers his real self.
2. ASK AND ACKNOWLEDGED YOUR UNIQUE PURPOSE.
In this section I will akin if you can get a notepad and pen because I need you to answer the following questions, make sure you answer one before going to others.
(I) WHO ARE YOU?
(II) WHAT DO YOU REALLY DESIRE TO : Be, do or have?
(III) WHAT DO YOU FEEL COMPELLED TO DO?
Acknowledged yourself for your Uniqueness. This will give you the courage to leap from your comfort zone. “For you to have a comfort zone, you have to leave your present comfort zone”. (Amb. Adeyemi David)
3. INVEST MORE ON YOURSELF:
For instance you just discover how to code using Notepad as a computer Maharishi and you refuse to upgrade yourself (study more) with the latest device and coding software, it’s just a matter of time you will soon be outdated. Well the same principle is applied to one self after you’ve discover your self you have to upgrade, study more about the path you have chosen. Think of how to become the best in that area, that will inspire you to read more. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome said ” Success is impacting your world with the investment of your personality”.
Now you see, so for you to be able to impact others you have to first invest on your self. ” work on being and not on having” TL Osborne. Invest more on your self. A friend of my once told me this, ” invest more on your brain more than your body” Mctommy.
The truth is that we do upgrade our phones, gadget and PCS. Its time to upgrade ourselves.
4. MINGLE WITH LIKE MINDS AND BE WILLING TO LEARN NEW THINGS.
In whatever area you fall into, work with like minds. Those that have the same vision with you. Those that think and see things the way you see them. Knowledge is the key, knowledge is power, what you don’t have you can’t give, in everyday day of your life try and learn new things.
5. GET A LIFE COACH OR MENTOR.
A man without a mentor will never be an author. He’s just like a car without a driver to give direction. If you don’t have someone who is guiding you, you can never guide others because a man without a motivator can never motivate. I like what Isaac Newton said about mentor. He said and I quote “ if I have seen farther it is by standing on a giant’s shoulder”. The reason why he could see ahead is because of the one guiding him. Try and get a mentor today find out what makes him or her an extraordinary person and cultivate it but always remember to be yourself.
Remember “information are powerful but only those put to works makes the difference”.
Thanks for taking your time to read this and I believe it will propel you to act fast.
