Unexploded World War II bomb discovered in Paris

An unexploded World War II bomb was on Friday uncovered in Paris, the French capital.
The development disrupted trains moving to and from London with other trains heading northward from the largest city in France also halted.
It was gathered that the bomb was discovered in the Saint-Denis suburb near tracks that lead into the Gare du Nord, a major Parisian transit hub that serves northern France and Europe.
Traffic on high-speed and commuter railways came to a halt for several hours as the Paris police sent in mine-sweeping crews to clear the bomb out.
France’s national train operator SNCF, while confirming the incident in a statement on Friday, said that traffic was stopped at the request of police.
Similarly, French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot also stated that traffic would be ”strongly disrupted” throughout the day.
According to the minister, only limited service will be resuming in the afternoon, urging travellers to postpone their trips.
