Uche Maduagwu Shows Support For Wizkid Over His Comment On Nigerian Rappers, Slams Uche Ogbodo
2 min readAward-winning singer, Wizkid has gained one active supporter, in the person of controversial actor, Uche Maduagwu, following his comment about Nigerian rappers.
Society watch reported that in a recent Interview with 10 magazines,Wizkid declared the Afrobeat genre of music as the new pop, adding that the rap genre of music is dead.
Reacting to the statement which has caused an uproar among singers and fans, Uche Maduagwu showed his support for Wizkid.
Maduagwu asserted that Wizkid is hundred percent right about his statement. He said those who are not happy about Wizkids’s statement do not like the truth.
He further stated that Rap is not Nigeria’s culture, however, Afro beats and other genres of music are.

Uche Maduagwu took his support for Wizkid a step further by slamming his colleague and name-sake, Uche Ogbodo.
Society watch reported hours ago that Uche Ogbodo took a swipe at Wizkid for dissing the rap industry. She questioned how Wizkid would say such about his people.
She further questioned the native doctor who enchanted Nigerians to spite each other. Uche noted how his statement was insensitive and selfish.
According to Maduagwu, his colleague, Uche Ogbodo doesn’t have the right to talk to Wizkid because he is not responsible for her confused state of dating and having a baby with a younger man. He also slammed her for not being loyal because she is two-faced with May Yul Edochi and her junior wife, Judy Austin,
The self-acclaimed influencer also slammed Ycee and M. Abaga.
