Trump Says US Not Considering Ground Troops in Iran

Washington, D.C. — Donald Trump has stated that the United States is not currently considering sending ground troops into Iran, describing such a move as unnecessary at this time.

Speaking on Thursday, Trump said deploying American soldiers on Iranian soil would be a “waste of time,” according to reports by NBC News. His remarks came in response to warnings from Iran’s foreign minister, who had cautioned that any invasion by foreign forces would result in severe consequences for those involved.

The comments come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran over security issues in the Middle East. While diplomatic exchanges and political rhetoric between the two countries have intensified, Trump indicated that the United States has no immediate plans for a ground military operation.

Analysts say the statement may signal an attempt to ease fears of a direct military confrontation, even as both countries continue to exchange warnings and strategic messages.

U.S. officials have maintained that their priority remains protecting American interests and maintaining stability in the region. Meanwhile, Iranian authorities continue to warn against any escalation that could lead to a broader conflict.
