Truck–Tanker Collision Triggers Fatal Gas Explosion in Lagos

A massive gas explosion has rocked the Ajah axis of Lagos after a truck collided with a gas tanker, triggering a raging fire that destroyed several properties in the area.

According to eyewitnesses, the collision caused a gas leak from the tanker which later ignited, leading to a powerful explosion that sent thick smoke into the air and forced residents and motorists to flee for safety.

Emergency responders, including officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, were quickly deployed to the scene to contain the fire and carry out rescue operations.

Authorities confirmed that the incident resulted in casualties and extensive damage to nearby buildings and vehicles, while investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Residents have been advised to stay away from the affected area as emergency teams continue efforts to manage the situation in Nigeria.
