Transfer: Osimhen Fails To Make Chelsea Move On Deadline Day

Chelsea have failed in their bid to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli on transfer deadline day.

Osimhen had two offers from the Blues and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia.

However, the 25-year-old was tipped to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

However, in the final hours of the transfer window, a switch to west London appears to have collapsed.

According to French newspaper RMC Sport, Osimhen shall stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona despite interest from the Premier League.

The report states clarifies that, unless a club from the Saudi Pro League makes a successful bid before Monday, the Nigeria international will remain in the Italian top flight.

Chelsea discussed a deal with Napoli about a loan with an obligation to buy.

It’s believed that Al-Ahli have been in talks with Osimhen and they’re said to have offered him an extraordinary salary. Earlier this week, the Nigerian’s agent provided the Blues with great hope of wrapping up a deal.
