The 12 funniest words in the English language according to SCIENCE

Science has come up with some amazing things – the ability to communicate across the globe, how to get the most meat from a pig and now it’s tackling the truly important stuff: which word is the funniest.

Psychology researchers at the University of Warwic have analysed nearly 5,000 words and ranked them by funniest by asking people on the Amazon Turk website to judge each word from 1 to 5 and then sorting the results.

So here are the funniest words in the language according to science:
