Stella Oduah Plots Comeback
2 min readFormer Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah is planning a return to government.
The once indispensable Minister who was forced out of office as a result of public outcry based on her outrageous spending outside budget provision is mapping out strategy to return to power.
Insiders revealed the first step of her move after her ouster was to launch back her campaign organization, Neighbour to Neigbhour for the President as 2015 draws nearer in order to gain more favor before the number one citizen. Oduah would be recalled played a strategic role in 2011 when Jonathan’s campaign was in full swing.
Secondly, knowing fully what orchestrated her sack, the ex-minister is now working on correcting her public image. And interestingly, she is doing this by her recent massive awards.
The latest in the list of her growing ‘honours’ was bestowed by the Lagos Chapter of Social Cultural group, Ogbako Ndigbo.
And according to the organisers, the acknowledgement of the ex minister – whose regime was riddled with multiple scandals – was ‘in recognition of her immense contribution in transforming the aviation sector into world-class standard’.
To give credibility to the award, the ousted minister was not recognised alone, she was honoured alongside known names such as Immediate past governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, former Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dele Ezeoba, Managing Director/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, Mr. Reginald Ihejiahi, former Managing Director of Nigeria Liquidfied Natural Gas (NLNG) Chima Ibeneche and others.
Insiders however analysed the flurry of recognition for Oduah as moves aimed at gauging level of public interest in Oduah’s return.
