‘Spice Things Up, Christianity Doesn’t Take Away Romance’ – Pastor Adeboye Advises Couples

In a message shared on his official X account, the 82-year-old cleric emphasized that spiritual responsibilities should not overshadow marital duties.
Pastor Adeboye highlighted the importance of nurturing romantic connections, sharing how he and his wife, Foluke, maintain their bond through playful gestures and pet names.

“The fact that you are a Christian does not in any way take romance out of your marriage,” he stated, underscoring that intimacy is essential in a marital relationship.
He cautioned against the trend among some pastors who neglect dating their spouses, viewing it as a distraction from spiritual focus.
“Don’t become too rigid in your marriage; make your time together fun and engaging,” he advised.
Referencing Genesis 26:8, where Isaac is described as being affectionate with his wife Rebekah, Adeboye encouraged couples to rekindle their early romantic spark.
He suggested simple acts like writing notes or composing poems to keep the relationship vibrant.
“Your marriage can be like heaven on earth if you and your spouse are deliberate about remaining lovebirds,” he added.
