Sowore Remains Wanted, Lagos CP Insists
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Jimoh, has reaffirmed that human rights activist and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, remains on the police wanted list.
Speaking during a press briefing on Monday, Jimoh stated that Sowore is being sought for allegedly attempting to incite public unrest and disrupt peace in the state.
According to the Commissioner, security operatives have intelligence reports linking Sowore to activities capable of breaching public order during a recent protest.
“Omoyele Sowore remains wanted. We have credible information that his actions were intended to cause disturbance and disrupt public peace. The command will not tolerate any act capable of threatening the safety and stability of Lagos State,” Jimoh said.
