Solskjaer Told He Has ‘Big’ Decision To Make On Goalkeepers Next Season
1 min readFormer England striker, Alan Shearer, has said Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has a big decision to make about goalkeepers next season.
David de Gea was at fault for Tottenham’s goal as United drew 1-1 on Friday night.
The result put a dent on their top-four hopes, especially with Chelsea defeating Aston Villa 2-1 yesterday.
De Gea has made seven errors leading to goals this campaign, the joint most in the Premier League, while Dean Henderson has impressed on loan at Sheffield United.
Shearer told the UK Sun that Solskjaer has to decide whether to stick with De Gea or give Henderson a shot at becoming No.1.
“Dean Henderson has had a taste of the limelight at Sheffield United and is not going to want to sit on the Old Trafford bench next season.
“It was another big error leading to a goal from De Gea, something we’ve seen too often. I know it was the first game back but I don’t want to make any excuses for him.
“There comes a time when you can’t keep accepting players making the same mistakes,” Shearer said.
