Simon Ekpa To Be Extradited To Nigeria
1 min readThe Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Gen Chris Musa, has said he hopes that the arrest of self-proclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra Republic Government in Exile, Simon Ekpa, will lead to his extradition to Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Brig Gen Tukur Gusau.
The CDS hailed Ekpa’s arrest by Finnish authorities.

“CDS is happy with his (Ekpa) arrest in Finland, with the hope this will be a step towards his extradition to Nigeria so that he will face justice,” the statement said.
The Finland district court in Lahti had ordered the remand of Simon Ekpa on probable cause for public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent in Nigeria.
Ekpa was accused of using social media platforms to spread separatist propaganda linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, a group advocating for the secession of southeastern Nigeria.
