This was the day Lagos Stood Still for The Glamorous Wedding between Olayinka Mayor Afolabi, Son of Dr. Taiwo and Mrs. Folasade Afolabi and his Heartthrob Abisola Olufunke Omisade, The Beautiful Daughter of Prince Olayinka and Mrs. Omoyajowo Omisade of Ile-Ife In Osun State.

The Father Of The Groom, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, (MON), Is A Nigerian Business Magnate And Lawyer. He Is The Founder And C.E.O Of SIFAX Group, A Conglomerate That Deals In Shipping And Oil And Gas, While the Bride’s Father, Prince Olayinka Omisade is a Descendant of Royalty in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The Groom, Olayinka Mayor Afolabi, Is A Graduate Of Accounting From Coventry University, U.K,. chip of the old block, he presently Works At SIFAX Marine Services, As A Director and Business Development Manager, He Also Owns The Grill Outlet Located In Ikoyi Lagos. His Heartthrob Abisola Omisade who Just Relocated From The U.K Is a Graduate From One Of The Ivy League Schools In The U.K. and an HR Manager By Profession.

The Couple Love Story Began When they met, at The Grooms Sister’s Grand Ball Event In The U.K, and that chance meeting was the beginning of a romantic fiery tale that has led to their wedding ceremony today and a new beginning of for better to best and forever.

After the engagement and traditional marriage rights that took Ibadan by storm with who is who in the Nigerian society marking their presence in Ibadan to honour the Afolabi’s and their in-laws, Activities shifted to Lagos for the church wedding.

The Church Wedding which was Held at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos had In Attendance, The Ooni Of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, First Lady Of Ogun State, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, Special Adviser To The Ogun State Governor On Health, Mrs. Foluke Bello, And Many Other Important Personalities.

The Church Service Kicked Off with The Bridal Procession, as the Beautiful bride, Abisola Olufunke Omisade looking radiant and divine was walked down the Aisle by her farther.

The wedding exhortation was Next, delivered By One Of The Officiating Ministers,. This was followed by The Charge and Declarations Where the Intending Couple, Abisola Omisade and Olayinka Afolabi Took Their Marriage Vows In The Presence Of God and the Congregation.

Series of Hymnal Renditions Were Led by the Choir, After which Was The Exchange Of Rings Between The Couple, Which Serves as a Symbol of Their Unending Love For Each Other.

The Bible Reading For The Service Which Was Taken From The Book Of Ephesians Chapter 5 vs 21-33 Was Read By The Maid Of Honour, Yemisi Akinnuoye.  The Reading Teaches the Submission Of a Wife To Her Husband, Likewise the Love of a Husband To His Wife.

In The Sermon For The Glorious Service Between Abisola Omisade And Olayinka Afolabi the Officiating Minister Charged The Couple On the True Essence of Marriage, He Said Marriage Is Beyond The Day of the Wedding Ceremony, Saying that God Is The Initiator Of Marriage, Therefore God Should Be The Centre Of Their Union. He Urged the Couple to Cleave and Understand Each Other’s Differences, and Also Admonished Them To Respect, Love And Care For Each Other.

Both parents took turns as well as the officiating ministers to pray for the couple and asked God’s blession on their union after The Signing Of Marriage Register, As Parents On Both Sides Joined The Couple For The Signing Of The Marriage Certificate.

The Thanksgiving Session Was Next As Friends And Families Of The Omisades And Afolabis Joined In Songs And Dances Of Thanksgiving For The Glorious Day In Their Lives of the Afolabi and Omisade Families.

Proceedings shifted afterwards to the exquisitely cecorated Hall Of Harbor Point, Wilmot Road, Victoria Island Lagos.
