Questions Over Uduaghan’s Whereabouts

Where is former governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan? This is the question that permeates the lips of admirers and society watchers in recent times following his sudden disappearance from A-list social events.

Before now, the name Uduaghan evokes awe in the oil-bearing state and he was always the darling of many high-octane events.  For eight years, he wielded power as he wishes and hence rose to become a prominent governor in the Niger-Delta region. But as the saying goes, nothing lasts forever.

After his tenure expired, Uduaghan’s dominance in the corridor of power faded and he went into thin air. Since then, little or nothing was heard of him.

However, some tattlers are connecting his new found quiet lifestyle to the graft allegation that marred his stay in office. It would be recalled that reports went viral last year that Mr. Uduaghan, a medical doctor by training, was being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over fraudulent charges. Though the accusation failed to see the light of the day as the former governor has continued to enjoy his freedom, his whereabouts remains a mystery to many as he had since withdrew into his shell. While some said Uduaghan is abroad, others are insisting that he is in Abuja.
