Primeboy Threatens Legal Action Against Mohbad’s Mother Over Defamatory Claims
2 min readOwodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, a close associate of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, has announced intentions to pursue legal action against Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, following her allegations regarding his relationship with her son.
In a statement released on Saturday, Primeboy’s attorney, Akinpelu Ogunbona, responded to claims made by Adeyemo-Aloba during an online interview, where she accused Primeboy of frequently complaining about being neglected by Mohbad since his rise to fame.
The statement cited her remarks, asserting, “In the said interview, you alleged that our client always fought the late Mohbad and consistently complained about his neglect.”

Describing her statements as defamatory, Primeboy contended that these allegations were intended to tarnish his reputation and have adversely affected the affection he receives from fans.
“Your actions are deliberate to injure and traduce the integrity of our client who is a rising star in the music industry,” Ogunbona stated, urging Adeyemo-Aloba to retract her comments within seven days to avoid further legal action.
Efforts to reach Mohbad’s mother for comment were unsuccessful as her phone went unanswered, and she had not responded to a text message by the time this report was filed.
This controversy arises in the wake of Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, which has been surrounded by significant public scrutiny and legal proceedings.
Primeboy’s legal representative previously sought clarity on various issues related to the circumstances of Mohbad’s passing, which remains a topic of intense speculation.
The late singer’s demise has prompted investigations, including the exhumation of his body for an autopsy on September 21, 2023, as authorities seek to uncover the truth behind his untimely death.
