According to the Commission’s spokesperson, Nura Muhammad, Tinubu-Ojo’s track record in community development and her focus on providing resources for disadvantaged groups, including market women and out-of-school youth, were key factors in her selection.

Idris emphasized her “passion for supporting disadvantaged communities,” noting that she is uniquely positioned to raise awareness and drive support for educational initiatives targeting Almajiri and other vulnerable children across Nigeria.

Expressing gratitude for the role, Tinubu-Ojo stated her dedication to improving education access and creating opportunities for Nigeria’s most vulnerable children, describing it as part of her father’s legacy of prioritizing educational reform.

She also acknowledged the efforts of the National Commission and expressed her desire to work closely with Idris and his team to implement sustainable changes in the lives of at-risk children.

“I am deeply honoured by this appointment and am committed to alleviating the plight of these vulnerable Nigerians,” she stated.
