The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has announced that it will shut down power supply to the International Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, between 1am and 4.30am.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, on Friday.

Orah stated that the development was for the replacement of the Bus Riser 11KVA high-tension panel.

According to the statement, the proposed electrical power supply maintenance shutdown will be carried out with minimal disruption to flight operations and passenger facilitation.

Royal Air Maroc, which operates within the maintenance hour, will be relocated for check-in and arrival formalities to the International Terminal 1.

“Airlines, security agencies, and concessioners will be notified appropriately,” the statement read.

The airport authority, however, assured passengers of continuous movement.
