Police Deny Invading CDHR Office In Lagos
1 min readThe Lagos State Police Command has denied allegations that its personnel invaded the office of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) in Ikeja, Lagos. CDHR had accused the police of laying siege to their headquarters, violating their rights to peaceful assembly and freedom of speech.
However, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that police personnel were present around the office but did not invade the venue. He added that the symposium held by CDHR was not interrupted and was provided with adequate security.
