Police Arrest Three, Recover ₦31.75m Stolen Goods in Oyo

IBADAN, NIGERIA — The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspects in connection with a suspected highway robbery operation, announcing the recovery of stolen goods valued at over ₦31.75 million.

 

Police authorities disclosed that the arrests followed coordinated intelligence-led operations aimed at tracking criminal activities along major transit routes within the state. The suspects were apprehended during a targeted intervention, while items believed to have been taken during the robbery were successfully retrieved.

 

According to the command, the recovered goods include merchandise and valuables allegedly seized from victims during the incident. Officials stated that efforts are underway to identify and return the items to their rightful owners, in line with established procedures.
