Paris Saint-Germain Now Favourites To Land Matthijs de Ligt – Report

Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as the new favourites to land Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt, according to ESPN.
The Ligue 1 side are set to bring back former sporting director Leonardo, and his “priority” is to sign the Dutch defender.
Leonardo is reportedly in “constant contact” with De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola, and the club are said to be “confident” they will land the youngster.
The report reckons that De Ligt could be tempted to join PSG over Barcelona because his agent can “guarantee maximum game time” and also because PSG can “meet Raiola’s exorbitant commission demands.”
That last bit of information is pretty interesting and could prove crucial. Yet if money is the key factor in this transfer saga then PSG may be the best place for De Ligt.
