Odegbami Lauds Osimhen For Equaling Super Eagles Goals Record

Super Eagles legend Segun Odegbami has praised Victor Osimhen for equaling his goals tally.
Osimhen achieved this milestone during Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic on Thursday night.
The Galatasaray forward scored the equalizer with a header eight minutes from time.

The 25-year-old and Odegbami now share the record as Nigeria’s joint top scorers, each with 23 goals.
“It’s a good thing (that he has equaled my record),” Odegbami said on Eagle7fm. “This shows we now have players who can deliver the goals for the national team.”
Osimhen will aim to surpass Odegbami’s record when the Super Eagles face Rwanda in Uyo on Monday.
The legendary Rashidi Yekini remains Nigeria’s all-time leading scorer with 37 goals.
