Nigerians to See Better Electricity Supply Within Two Weeks — Adelabu’s Aide
Nigerians may experience improved electricity supply within the next two weeks as ongoing maintenance on major gas pipelines approaches completion, according to an aide to the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu.
The aide explained that the maintenance work has affected gas supply to several power generation companies, leading to reduced electricity output in recent weeks.
However, officials assured that once the repairs are completed, gas flow to power plants will resume fully, which is expected to significantly improve electricity generation and distribution across Nigeria.
The government said efforts are being intensified to ensure the restoration process is completed within the promised timeline to ease the burden on households and businesses affected by the power shortages.
Authorities also reaffirmed their commitment to improving the country’s power sector through infrastructure upgrades and better maintenance of critical energy facilities.
