1 min readPresident Goodluck Jonathan has reportedly called his major challenger and the likely-winner of the 2015 presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC to congratulate him.
According to a source, the president spoke with Muhammadu Buhari on the phone and will address the country after rounding off his meeting with his cabinet.
He also spoke with the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Meanwhile, the National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has written a petition to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
PDP wants the election results cancelled in seven States in last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections over what it termed, alleged electoral malpractices.
Briefing the media in Abuja, Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus listed out the seven states as Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi,Katsina and Kogi States.
