New Year: Speaker Urges Nigerians to Remain Hopeful, United

Abuja — The Speaker of the House of Representatives has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful, united and committed to national development as the country ushers in the New Year.

 

In his New Year message to Nigerians, the Speaker urged citizens to look forward to 2026 with renewed optimism, stressing that unity and collective effort remain key to overcoming the nation’s challenges.

 

He acknowledged the economic and social difficulties faced by many Nigerians in the past year but expressed confidence that brighter days lie ahead if citizens remain steadfast and supportive of government policies aimed at national growth.

 

“The New Year presents another opportunity for us to renew our hope, strengthen our unity and work together for a better and more prosperous Nigeria,” the Speaker said.

 

He called on Nigerians to continue promoting peace, tolerance and mutual understanding, noting that national progress can only be achieved in an atmosphere of unity and cooperation.

 

The Speaker also urged political leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare of citizens, promote good governance and remain committed to policies that will improve living standards across the country.

 

According to him, the House of Representatives remains committed to passing people-oriented legislation and supporting initiatives that will drive economic growth, security and national cohesion.

 

He concluded by wishing Nigerians a peaceful, prosperous and fulfilling New Year, urging them not to lose faith in the nation’s future.
