NAHCON: Over 2,700 Nigerians Miss Hajj Over Late Payments

NAHCON consoled affected pilgrims, urging them to have faith, noting that Hajj is ultimately a divine call. The commission also advised future pilgrims to plan early to avoid similar disappointments.
The statement noted that NAHCON extended deadlines four times, from fare payments to visa issuance, but many pilgrims still delayed. Despite repeated warnings and a one-month grace period approved by the Saudi authorities, visa access was blocked after May 19, 2025. Some tour operators also bypassed NAHCON’s arrangements by involving third parties for premium Tent A+ services.
NAHCON reaffirmed Rawaf Mina Company as the only approved provider for Tent A+ services during the 2025 Hajj and warned it won’t be liable for unauthorized arrangements. Tour operators were urged to avoid deals that may risk pilgrims’ welfare or breach Saudi rules.
