NAFDAC Investigates Pastor Jeremiah’s Miracle Water, Soap

1 min read

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched an investigation into the activities of Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, over the sale of unregistered miracle water and soap.

The agency’s Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye in a statement on Sunday revealed that NAFDAC had received petitions about the ministry’s claims of healing and miracle properties of the products, which are not registered with the agency.

According to Prof. Adeyeye, “NAFDAC wishes to alert the public on the activities of a faith-based organization – Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries – that uses NAFDAC’s name to deceive the unsuspecting public.”

She noted that the ministry had claimed that the soap could heal barrenness and that the water had healing properties, but none of the products were registered with NAFDAC.

The agency’s investigation revealed that the ministry had refused to cooperate with NAFDAC, and the factory where the products were being manufactured has been sealed.

Prof. Adeyeye warned the public to stop patronizing the products, stating, “NAFDAC is a scientific organization that is guided by verifiable scientific facts before registering any product.”

She assured Nigerians of the agency’s resolve to continue safeguarding their health, saying, “We will continue with our investigation into the activities of this faith organization with regard to products within our mandates that have been reported to be manufactured and sold by them.”
