Makinde to Sign ₦892bn 2026 Appropriation Bill Monday
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, is set to sign the ₦892 billion 2026 Oyo State Appropriation Bill, tagged the “Budget of Economic Expansion,” into law on Monday.
The budget, which was recently passed by the Oyo State House of Assembly, is designed to accelerate economic growth, improve infrastructure, and enhance social services across the state. It reflects the administration’s commitment to expanding the state’s economy while improving the living standards of residents.
According to government officials, the 2026 budget prioritizes key sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, road infrastructure, and job creation. Significant allocations have also been made to support industrial development and strengthen internally generated revenue.
Governor Makinde is expected to reiterate his administration’s focus on fiscal discipline, transparency, and effective implementation during the signing ceremony. He has consistently emphasized that budgets must deliver tangible benefits to the people of Oyo State.
