Lala Akindoju Laments Tosyn Bucknor’s Death

After the shocking and painful news of the death of oap Tosyn Bucknor went viral yesterday, Nollywood actress Lala Akindoju has come out to say it isn’t fair that life has to go on like nothing happened.

The deceased was close friends with Lala from the pictures and videos shared by the new bride and coming to terms with this reality is really sad.

Lala wrote:

it feels so unfair and wrong that life should continue and the world should keep acting normal…everything should stop! .
This is the thing about death I don’t understand- it’s so final but then the world continues moving and everything is just business as usual .
Tosyn passed away….

Words fail me because it all feels like a joke. How does a woman with so much love, energy, passion, strength, ambition and fun just go silent?

Tosyn- my sister’s sister, my friend’s bestie, my crush’s wife! .
Who will harass me over Lamide? Who will remind me that her husband is my crush and she’s just taking care of him for me? Who will do EVERYTHING for my big sister FBO (90% percent of her sentences started with “my sister said” or “this is what Tosyn said we should do”), who will harass me in my DMs over good Instagram communication? Who will sing and rap and Bucknor family events? Who will message me saying ‘thank you for doing this for Funke?

We all know we will die, but this is way too soon. Tosyn lived a life of impact- she was responsible for making so many music careers grow and shine. She never collected ‘payola’ to play anyone’s music. She loved her rock and alternative music. She loved Linkin Park, 9ice, M.I, Banky W, Brymo, Clay, Aramide….she helped many musicians grow with ONE MIC! .

I know you wouldn’t want us to be sad, I know you would want us to have a party and sing and dance…but the pain is there. .
We love you Tosyn and we are looking up to the balm in Gilead for help and strength….
