Lagos To Resume Monthly Environmental Sanitation April 25

The Lagos State Government has announced plans to resume the monthly environmental sanitation exercise across the state beginning April 25.

State authorities said the initiative is aimed at improving environmental cleanliness, promoting proper waste disposal, and strengthening public health practices in communities.

According to the government, residents will be required to participate in the sanitation exercise, which is expected to hold on the last Saturday of every month. The exercise will involve cleaning of homes, markets, drainage systems, and public spaces.

Officials noted that relevant environmental and law enforcement agencies will be deployed to monitor compliance and ensure that residents adhere to the sanitation guidelines.

The government also urged citizens, market leaders, and business owners to cooperate fully with the exercise, stressing that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility necessary for sustainable urban living in Lagos.
